Endometrial receptivity is a state in which, during a specific period, a woman\u2019s endometrium undergoes a sequence of unique changes, primarily at the molecular level, making the uterine lining receptive to embryo implantation. This enables interaction between the blastocyst and the endometrium and creates conditions for normal embryo development within the uterus.<\/p>\n
In a broader sense, endometrial receptivity is defined as the ability of the uterus to support embryo implantation within a specific time window and at a particular stage of development.<\/p>\n
The beREADY test is a precision medicine genetic test developed in Tartu by the Competence Centre on Health Technologies (now Celvia). It assesses endometrial readiness for embryo implantation, helping the physician accurately determine the optimal day for embryo transfer.<\/p>\n
The endometrium is predicted to be receptive on the day of transfer (an appropriate day for embryo transfer).<\/p>\n
The endometrium is not yet receptive (additional endometrial \u201cmaturation\u201d is required).<\/p>\n
The endometrium is no longer receptive (the endometrium has passed the optimal receptive stage).<\/p>\n
The test analyzes the expression of 57 biomarker genes associated with endometrial receptivity using highly sensitive, modern sequencing technology.<\/p>\n
The test requires an endometrial biopsy. The risk is minimal; when necessary, the procedure is performed using local anesthesia and a thin catheter. A small amount of endometrial tissue, which subsequently regenerates, is collected. Mild discomfort and minor bleeding may occur. The technical risk (less than 1%) involves an insufficient amount or inadequate quality of tissue for analysis; in rare cases (<1%), the result may be inconclusive. If necessary, a repeat biopsy is performed free of charge.<\/p>\n
