The procedure is aimed at increasing the probability of fertilization of the egg and subsequent pregnancy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is how the process of intrauterine insemination proceeds:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Diagnostics and preparation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A woman undergoes preliminary medical examinations, including a check of reproductive health, hormonal status, and examination of the uterine cavity. <\/li><li>If necessary, ovulation stimulation may be required using drugs to increase the number of eggs.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sperm collection and processing:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Spermatozoa are collected from a man who can be a woman&#8217;s partner or a sperm donor.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Spermatozoa are processed to improve their mobility and ability to penetrate the egg.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Insemination:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>At the time of ovulation (the release of an egg from the ovary), sperm is injected into the uterine cavity using a thin catheter. <\/li><li>The procedure is performed by a doctor in the office without the use of general anesthesia.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Monitoring and testing:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>After the procedure, the possible onset of pregnancy is monitored.<\/li><li>Approximately 10-14 days after insemination, a woman is recommended to donate blood to determine the level of chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone that is produced in the first weeks of pregnancy.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Evaluation of results:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In case of a successful pregnancy, an ultrasound examination is performed to assess the development of the fetus.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Intrauterine insemination can be used as a primary method of infertility treatment or in cases where other methods are ineffective.
