Ultrasound in Almaty

What is the ultrasound method?

Ultrasound is a diagnostic technique based on the properties of ultrasonic waves that are reflected when they pass through the boundaries and tissues of human organs.

Simultaneously, the detected changes are precisely captured by a specialized sensor, and modern computer technologies process the signal received by the sensor, enabling it to be displayed as an image on a monitor. A specialist evaluates the information obtained through this process, taking into account factors such as organ morphology, the nature of changes within the organs, the quantity and severity of lesions in nearby tissues, and the character and progression of pathological processes occurring in the body of the individual under examination.

Ultrasound diagnostics enables the following:

  • Detect diseases in their early stages of development.
  • Provide an accurate diagnosis when the clinical presentation is unclear.
  • Initiate timely treatment.
  • Offer dynamic monitoring to adjust the treatment course and assess its effectiveness.

Where is ultrasound used?

Ultrasound diagnostics is effectively employed to examine a wide range of organs and systems, including female and male pelvic organs, the urinary system, the abdominal cavity, mammary glands, thyroid and salivary glands, the liver, the heart, and other vital organs. It is challenging to pinpoint specific areas where this diagnostic method is impossible or severely limited in its application.

Ultrasound has found extensive application in the field of gynecology, where it is employed for diagnosing female and male reproductive organs.
